Merry Christmas Brother's! I'm sure glad you guys are taking the highroad now... LOL. You guys make me look forward to a Continental Divide Hawk Rally. We can all meet, greet and ride! I bet I can find us a place in Littleton to BBQ!

in the spirit of the greatest Christmas gift ever... Forgiveness! let's shake hands, return to neutral corners and come out riding! How many of us west coast weenies are up for 10,000-13000' elevation riding? Of course we have some of it here in CA to practice on, unfair advantage? GREAT roads too! Maybe a good place for a WCHR while sorting CDHR 20xx details? I wonder if anyone thought of that? LOL

It COULD happen... It WOULD be epic! My 2

Thanks melmsrt4! She was awesome! The only real thing I did was cosmetic; repaired the tail/seat fairing, swapped out the directionals and added bar end mirrors..I loved that bike just the way it was. Due to circumstances beyond my control/hanging on as long as I could, made the very hard and sad decision/realization I had to sell her.. The guy who bought her though was also a die hard Hawk enthusiast so I know the bike was going to and still is, in great hands. I'm in the market for another though and riding seasons just around the corner.. err-ahh.. lol truth be told I really never have an "off season" Ha! Thanks again melmsrt4 I look forward to being part of the community!

Been vintage racing the last 2 seasons with www.VRRA.ca. Just picked up this Hawk and starting some research.

New to forum, Motorcycle_dan from central Ohio (not far from VMD) Been riding since I can remember, dirt then street. Former MSF instructor, No brand loyalty, just as long as it putt putts down the road. My first Hawk GT in 1993, a red '89 model (now blue). Eventually sold it to a navy buddy about 2005. He disassembled it to replace the countershaft then left it in boxes until last year. Put it on the road but didn't ride it much. A young man I know just got his permit and scheduled for safety class. Was offered the Hawk as a loaner to learn on. I rode it a tank of fuel to get him past the Interstate and he rode the rest of the way. Brought back a flood of great memories. I got home and started looking for another. Sure enough the gods saw fit to put one in my grasp. The bike has been sitting for last 10 years so as imagined the tank was a mess. That is being fixed and lined, Sent the seat off to Sargents for recover and foam. Carbs amazingly enough were not bad, fuel valve was off thankfully. Working on caliper and master cylinder overhaul. Should be road ready next month or so. 0650 NT twins.jpg
