    Onboard Test shots

AAhh! I'm riding on the wrong side of the road again!

Just a couple of poor videos I made onboard the Hawk. I was just playing with a digicam, trying out a couple of views on my way to work. I don't have an input for an external mic, and no good way to windsock the inbuilt one, so sound is of course, mostly wind unfortunately. For those of you who've seen my "commuting spy shots" post, you might recognise the end of the third video. The first one had to be cut down to fit the 100mb limit and as a result has come out pretty poor. The other two are better.

Here's the first video, looking up at me, from beside the clocks. Fuzzy lookin for being trimmed down.

This is the second leg of the commute, as above.

This one is forward facing, from beside the front engine mount.

Cool shots. You can just about hear the purring of the hawk under the wind noise.

You must either work in the middle of nowhere or that was taken very early in the morning as I only saw one car in the whole 2 min of riding.

Yes, and No, respectively. Good eye to catch that car in the first clip.

I work at a business park in the middle of farmland, about 10 miles outside Chester, and 2/3 of my commute takes me through more farmland on the Welsh borders (pray for me). I've left out the middle bit on the usually busy-ish A-road, and the video of the first section of commute is too big to upload. I just need to take 10 minutes to learn how to edit quick time movies on windows.

Those vids were taken around 7pm, on a weekend. The funny thing is, the second video is on a very empty backroad, and that day I came across three vehicles, more than I normally see in a whole week on that stretch.

THink I might do some of these, once I figure out how to strap the camera on somewhere decent (and it stops raining ...)

The hedgerows reminded me of watching the Ilse of Man race on Speed! Great vid!

Just to let you know, the first leg of the journey has been added. Finally. Same wind-noisy camera, lower quality visual and audio for being trimmed to fit an upload limit.
