I remember seeing that, I was pretty shocked by how many risks Byrne was willing to take. Racers tend to be pretty docile on busy roads, too many obstacles. Then I suppose it's just proof that peer pressure works.

Yes, it helped that he planned his rides, and had spotters along the way to signal if there were accidents, heavy traffic, etc. As opposed to the hooligans at FB. Gotta admit it's entertaining, but the liberties they took/take. I just have a problem when they endanger others is all.

The pictures of Colin Edwards after his first ride on that thing were priceless. Looked like he'd seen a ghost, you could just about smell the cold sweat and adrenaline.
