    Yes a metal mold is required that's right... but the prototype was made by my 3D hands and eyes not printed then I made a mold out of urethane and search a lot of time for adequate 2 components rubber that is gasoline and ethanol resistant and produce 2 sets of manifolds. But for Andreas mechanic it's good enough so that's because we made the 3D scan so he can improve the design and then produce 20-30 pieces 10-15 sets

      If you have the 3D scan, can't you just 3D print it or CNC out of a block of derlin (sp?). Of course you still need to manipulate the 3D file to create a split point, but maybe I'm way off on this.

      I'm thinking a couple 100 bucks to create a mold. My daughter has access to a 3D printer and a multi-axes CNC machine that she uses to build architect models with. She should be able to cut or print a mold for a lot cheaper than 3000 Euros.

      At the moment I think they can't print elastic material that's air fuel ethanol proof and resistant. And the moods need to have their specific form for injection molding

              • I see what I believe is mold release of some sort so is this your application piece? And if so what is the material used ?

                          • Maybe the boot doesn't need to be rubber?

                            If you were able to do a 3D print in the right type of plastic, something soft, it might work just fine.
