My personal best time was 44 hours ... Los Angeles to NYC! For this guy to do it two-wheeled in 36 hours is incredible!
The Cannonballers record still stands at 25 hours 39 minutes!!!
Bi-Coastal U.S.A.: Los Angeles, CA and Long Island, NY
There’s something called “Four Corners” and another actually called “Iron Butt Association” of these crazies! A guy who worked at Honda did one of these .... afterward couldn’t stand straight for days as he kept switching “cheeks” until he couldn’t ... got teased and asked when he’d be an “ass-whole” again!
Yeah…. Nope. If I wanted to cross country as fast as possible, that’s why we invented airplanes.
I wouldn’t mind doing it similar to @Jimmy30’s trip; take the whole summer off and leisurely ride. No timeline, no pressure.
Flock of Hawks | '13 Tacoma | '69 Falcon (currently getting reassembled!) I've spent most of my money on women, beer, cars and motorcycles. The rest of it I just wasted.
one of these days i'll do it in several days and take it easy, but for the last seven years a bunch of us have done land's end to john o'groats in the uk in one day. That's (with no motorways) 1008 miles, on cheap budget £300 bikes. I've got it down to 17 hours before, and a little longer on my hawk - it's done the run twice. Worst was when my charity bike ate its wiring loom and i used the 996 which simply damaged me for 4 months. This year it'll be a cbr400 with a blade engine - basically scrap that i've built up.
