I watched the new top gun movie and it gave me great pleasure to see the Skunk Works insignia pop up on the Darkstar airplane and then also to see during the credits that they actually participated in the concept design and not just thrown in for eye candy. Can a manned airplane that isnt a space craft do Mach 10??? I'm sure by now they have done it, considering the X-15 hit Mach 6.7 in 1967...
